There was a strange old woman named Molly Leigh
Labelled a witch coz she rarely went to church

She lived alone just outside Burslem
Her only friend was her pet raven
It gave her powers from the underworld

One grave stands out from the rest
It’s north to south, not east to west

Here lies Molly Leigh

People say to this day
Her ghost is never far away
The kids still sing you can’t catch me

And after Molly had passed away
She was seen in town, so the locals say
All their misfortune was blamed on her
No thanks to the backwards reverend Spencer

Her body was exhumed and staked through the heart
